| Electrolysis first came to be in the late 1800's, by doctor Charles Michel, of St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Michel was an eye doctor who had been experimenting with how to remove ingrown eye lashes with the use of negative galvanic current (DC or Direct Current). He reported his findings to the medical community in October of 1875. As time passed, Dr. Michel, as well as other doctors, expanded the field of Electrology to include different techinques and different forms of current, such as high frequency and the blend. From that moment when Dr. Michel realized what was possible, Electrolysis has continuously evolved to its present high tech state of new machines and expertise within the electrology world. Athough there have been new methods of hair removal that have come and gone, they can not have the history that Electrolysis holds. Electrolysis has held steady thru time, over 130 years to be exact. This alone is a true fact that can not be denied by the medical community in its entirety. It has a long history well beyond any type of hair removal that has been or is being marketed today. |
