| Growth Stages | ||||||||||||
| Hair has multiple layers and different growing stages. It is made up of keratin which is also the basis for our skin and nails. There are three main stages to hair growth: Anagen- The growing stage. This is when hair is active in growth. A bulb is present and is surrounded by the inner root sheath. This is the best possible time to treat a hair with Electrolysis in order to achieve Permanent Hair Removal. Catagen- The hair separates from the papilla, but remains in the follicle. The bulb disappears and a white tuft takes its place. Telegen- The resting stage. Growth has stopped and the hair will usually be shed at this point. It can remain stuck to the inside of the follicle for some time, even if a new hair starts another growth cycle. |
